What is better to use "div" or "tables"?

Hi all,
I would like to know some doubts that I have. I have observer that some websites are using "div" and other "tables".
What is the difference between those 2? What do I get or what results, if I use "div" or "tables" in my website.
I would like to hear some professional opinions.

i generally prefer Div tags compared to table. My site used to have tables and now i converted them into div tags. The main reason behind changing from tables to div is the website is taking so much time to load and an user will not stay for long time. Advantage of div is it reduces the code part and helps website to load faster.

Divs with CSS are better in most cases because they are much more flexible. It should not undermine your SEO efforts. Tables are outdated

DIV tag is better than Tables.Table take more time for loading.So, it may make the site slow.So, DIV tag is more popular for the web designing purpose.

DIV is floating type.div is a block of HTML & which is used to displayed the data .
Table is Fixed type.Table is created to display mainly TEXT and some cases images also.
