How many incoming links i need for getting PR5?

For getting a PR 5 or +++ is not so easy. You will have to do good number of quality backlinks. Basically you will have to follow the following things

1) Do a keyword research on with Google adword – and find the relevant keyword for your site.
2) Increase your website contents with more relevant keywords and increase internal linking
3) Do link your site with quality backlinks. Choose the best site for linking, Good PR site with less external linking
4) Choose the only relevant category for submissions
5) Submit to blog, directories, articles, forums, press release
6) Also do some SMO

If you have the above your site will have good PR and very good traffic.

There is no specific number to get PR5. Make quality links more,and also to get PR5 you will have to wait for many months. Its not the game of some days.

There is no definite numbers to get PR5 or any. Some may get PR5 while having less back links than on PR3 with more back links. I mean, it is not on the quantity, but it is on the quality of the back links...

free directory submission doesn't help much in improving PR, since it is free, most of it do not guarantee inclusion and most are just crap.

yeah, exchanging links can help, but make sure your link is placed on the page where it has PR, also adds do follow on links and having less outbound links, so you can get more "juices."

Achieving PR5 is not an easy task and there is no such a limit for backlinks. You just try creating backlinks with better quality, not with quantity.
